Electronic or paper Air Antwerp boarding pass ?

You can enter the aircraft only if you have a valid boarding pass. After payment, the booking confirmation, receipt and/or invoice you receive does not constitute a ticket. You can only get a boarding pass after successfully completing the check-in procedures. Please note that in most cases, you only have one boarding pass to take this outbound flight, and you will need to check in later.

If online passengers check in without having to check their luggage, they can immediately pass through the airport security checkpoint. All other passengers must arrive at the Air Antwerp boarding gate before the specified closing time.

Air Antwerp’s check-in procedure is closed 20 minutes before the scheduled flight departure time. Passengers or baggage currently not checked in will be denied entry into the aircraft.

Passengers are kindly requested to arrive at the boarding gate at the time set by Air Antwerp before departure. An interruption in the airport or the maximum number of passengers may take more time than usual to reach the entrance.

This is why Belgian airline recommends that its passengers pass through security checkpoints and passport checkpoints as soon as possible, and take some time to relax in the boarding area. Boarding will start 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time of the flight.

If the passenger does not check in on time or arrives at the entrance on time, Antwerp Air reserves the right to refuse the passenger to board the plane.

What is a boarding pass?

A boarding pass is a document that allows passengers to board an aircraft, contains information about flight time, boarding time, and flight seating arrangements.

The boarding pass is your access piece to the plane, but technically speaking, this document is provided when you finalize your check-in on the flight. The boarding pass will be provided at the check-in counter or online (sent to your inbox)

When can you get the electronic boarding pass?

The boarding pass is issued online upon check-in (online check-in is usually done 24 hours before flight departure), or it can be handled in person at a kiosk or at the check-in counter.

What information does the boarding pass contain?

It contains the legal name and flight information of the passenger, including: the name of the airline; information about the boarding gate; cities of departure and arrival; flight number; departure time; departure time; boarding crew number (if applicable) and seat allocation (if applicable). There will also be a barcode (paper boarding pass) or QR code (mobile boarding pass) for scanning at security checkpoints and boarding.

How do you get a boarding pass?

If you check in online before your flight, you can email your boarding pass and print it at home. You can also request a mobile boarding pass, and the link will be emailed or texted to you. Some international flights served by Air Antwerp allow you to check in online, but you may need to go to the check-in counter to get this document so they can verify your passport.

If you are checking in at the airport, you can print this card at the self-service kiosk near the check-in counter, or the airline representative can print the boarding pass at the check-in counter.

If you lose your pre-printed boarding pass or lose contact, you can reprint it when you arrive at the airport.

Note: Some airlines may charge you for printing your boarding pass at the airport (for example, if you use a kiosk to print your boarding pass at the ticket office. Please be sure to read the rules, otherwise additional charges may apply.

Do you have to print your boarding pass?

If you have a mobile boarding pass, you may not need to print it on paper. However, keep in mind that the phone can lose its battery. Usually a printed copy is a safe choice to ensure on-time shipment.

How does the mobile boarding pass work?

It is similar to a paper map, but it is electronic. When you meet security standards, the TSA representative scans your mobile boarding pass (or asks you to put your phone on the scanner) while scanning the paper version, just before heading to the boarding gate. You still need an ID (driver’s license, passport) to go through security.

– Can you use a screenshot of the mobile boarding pass?

Yes, however, be sure to save the entire boarding pass (QR code, seat assignment, etc.).

– Can you go straight to security with a mobile boarding card?

If you don’t check in any baggage, you can use your ID card and mobile boarding pass to go straight to security.

What if you lose your boarding pass?

If you have not gone through security, please return to your airline’s check-in counter and reprint your boarding pass from the kiosk, or ask the agent at the check-in counter if they haven’t. There is no terminal. If you have gone through security, please go to the boarding gate and ask the guard to reprint their ticket.
