Icelandic low-cost airline Play will operate flights between the Icelandic capital Reykjavik and Brussels from May 2022, it said on Thursday. Play plans three flights per week between Keflavik Airport in Reykjavik and Brussels Airport.
The company has also announced flights to Dublin and Madrid. In total, it will offer 23 destinations in Europe next year. Next to Icelandair, Play will be the second Icelandic airline active at Brussels Airport. Icelandair flies twice a week between Iceland and Belgium.
Since the bankruptcy of WOW Air in 2019, Icelandair was the only Icelandic company present at Brussels Airport.
