Volotea inaugurates a flight to Charleroi, its first destination in Belgium

Volotea has announced the inauguration of a direct flight between Lyon and Charleroi. The Spanish air carrier operating low-cost flights throughout Europe and several other continents, has announced its arrival in Charleroi, its first destination in Belgium.

From December 21 this year until January 4 next year, the low-cost carrier will fly three times a week to Charleroi-Brussels South with departures from Lyon-Saint Exupéry. The Spanish carrier will take off in a single-aisle Airbus aircraft on Wednesday at 12:25 p.m. to land at 1:55 p.m. The return flights will take off from the Belgian airport at 2:25 p.m. for a scheduled arrival at 3:55 p.m., at the airport of the city of Rhône-Alpes.

On this route, Volotea will face competition indirectly from Brussels Airlines, which serves the French city regularly from Brussels-Zaventem.

The new airline created by Volotea is an important step towards expanding its international offer.

The Belgian destination is the twenty-eighth served by the Spanish airline from its hub in Lyon – St-Exupéry.
